I have such a crush on Angela Flanders perfume at the moment. I first found out about her when I went to the Columbia road flower market many months ago. Obviously it was a Sunday afternoon, and little did I know, the original Angela Flanders perfume store (on Columbia road no less) is only ever open on Sundays. The moment I walked through the door I could have sworn it was the real thing- like The One, except for perfume. Angela Flanders was opened in the 1982, however Ms Flanders was originally a costume designer and dabbled with potpourri. In 2012 she won the prestigious FiFi Award for Best New Independent Fragrance for Precious One (a floral chypre). There is nothing ostentatious or commercial about her store, in fact it’s just like walking into a beautifully quaint living room. I haven’t been lucky enough to fully explore the collection, as each time I’ve gone back the store has sadly been closed, however I did fall in love with a  floral strawberry number, Rose Sauvage (2007).  I’m still daydreaming of it to this day. . Aside from the store on Columbia Rd (no.96), there is another at branch over at 4 Artillery Passage (Spitalfeilds).

Fragrances are available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles ranging from £40-95, with samples costing £5 each. Buy in store or online at
