Aside from being the coldest month of the year (it certainly feels that way at least), February is also the month of St Valentine, and therefore a month to be romanced, or in any case a month to romanticise. I’ll be ignoring the usual Hallmark appreciation day festivities, and instead discuss a couple of perfumes that lend themselves the theme of romance. From simple things like the romance of white flowers (try to give your loved one a bunch of tuberose this year, and skip the roses), to harder intangible fragrances that sought to capture the addictive nature of female sensuality, I’ll be posting what I think romance and perfume mean.
